The end of the year is fastly approaching so i am super excited to share a more personal playlist w u all
I am going to deep dive on all my favorite albums, eps, and projects from the past year
Listing my favorite songs from each and some special memories i have attached to all
I recommend every single song I mention here so if u want to start ur 2023 off w some new music released this year listen up!!!!!
I will also include some honorable mentions that I loved this year that were not projects released in 2022
First off we have the new FKA twigs mixtape CAPRISONGS
Omg this mixtape was honestly perfect and i felt like this was the peak of her sound that i've heard so far, every single song was ahamzing, i loved the interludes of speech and sound effects and the VISUALS, every music video was gorgeous and she jus really did it again i'm so proud of her and i love this proj def my favorite of the year by far
I not only loved this wen it came out in the winter but it stayed on my playlists all year long
My favorite songs would have to b ride the dragon, pamplemousse, papi bones, meta angel, and oh my love

Next up we have Shygirls album Nymph and oh my go dthis album is again fully ahmazing there isnt one song that I dont love, this project is insane
My favorites are probably jus my most listened so i think heaven, shlut, firefly, and nike the most
This album came out closer to the end of the year so i've spent less time w it than the previous but shygirl is amazing and i highly recommend this video on her that is super inspiring and shows how connected and down to earth she is
Honorable mention is also Poison (Club Shy mix)
Also this video is adorable i love her
Next up is also a later in the year release from Coco & Clair Clair w their second album release Sexy and oh my god I love this album of course but it was honestly even better than expected their production has gone way up but they still have their sound its jus crisper and cleaner and wow it really really works w this release
My favorites r obv the single Cherub which they released to preview the album and this song is so sweet and bitchy I love it, off the full album my favorites r 8 AM, The Hills, bad lil vibe, and lamb :33
Also they really enabled my starbucks addiction w "need a venti straight to the dome" liike they jus get it
This album also makes me really want it to b summer again </3 I love it please listen to a few of the songs and i promise u wont regret it.....

Next up and this album should b on EVERYONES list ROSALÍAs album MOTOMAMI
This album was so defining for this year it came out super early 2022 in march and everyone listened to it all summer and omg i got into rosalia back in 2019 w con altura like everyone else and u can hear her sound evolving so well this project is perfect~~~~
My favorites would have to b SAOKO and DIABLO, her visuals were also gorgeous and i love how much energy is in all her work, also her fits i love she is a star!

Neext up is the snow strippers April Mixtape 2and oh my god again the two of them r such rising stars..... i got into them only from this past year and i wish i wouldve known abt them sooner! not only r the songs so welll done, they also do such an amazing almost recreation of pure 2011sounds and visuals
She also did a lot of influencing for my style this year....
My favorite songs would have to b My Own Mistakes, Sabotage, and Almost A Threat

ETHEL CAIN THIRD ALBUM PREACHERS DAUGHTER DEFINED MY SUMMER IN THE SOUTHms ethel omfg this album really shifted something inside me and w the release of x and bones and all....... i jus love her so much please listen to this complete album its haunting and sweet and beautiful
It feels like a humid day in the summer and smells like candy, if ur gona listen to any song of this project it has to b Gibson Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her visuals are so good i cant even put them all here so i will jus show u the single cover for gibson becaus it captues the essence :33

Next up is of course bladee and eccos new release this march Crest, personally for me this was the best bladee and ecco release this year, and one of the strongest of all time for the both of them
This whole project is dreamy and gorgeous my favorites would have to b of course 5 star crest which changed my life, flag is raised, and red cross (oh and single amygdala is ahmazing also) I also got the chance to see them both live this year and i loved it i had plans to see them back in 2019 for valentines day chicago show for my birthday but then the sickness took over and the show was canceled so i was so grateful to see them!

Now i need to talk abt a very small project of only three songs LU/CY from True Blue
This project came as a total surprise to me and has even surpassed some actually albums this year in my mind jus based on how beautifully done it is wow if you have 7 minutes free anytime today and havent listened to this project yet DO IT it will change ur life even though theres only three songs on the whole proj my favorite has to b Lucy - Club please enjoy...... also again gorgeous visuals!
Now this album is probably on everyones top lists because it should b that is of course the new alex g album God save the animals:3
This album was very definitive for the beginning of autumn for me and i loved it so much
Honestly probably my favorite release of his..... mayb ever.. i know this release he also worked really hard to advertise it and i know everyone i recommended this proj to loved it :3 becaus duh
My favorites would have to b s.d.o.s, miracles, immunity, aint it easy, no bitterness, cross the sea, blessing, and runner

Lastly but def not least is yung leans Stardust
And i love love love love this album
This was one of the first releases of the year that i fell in love w and it still is one of the best from this year :3 it's gloomy its sparkly and visuals and artwork love love love
My favorites r ofc bliss w twigs, trip, lips (his most horny song to date) and nobody else
Now for honorable mentions that were released or not released in this past year but made it onto either my wrapped on spotify or my wrapped in my brain:
My top songs were all from lil bo weeps side proj unaloon album from 2018, I listened to a lot this year as she passed back in march~~~
I also loved briansjonestown massacre esp it girl so good in my top 5 songs
I also loved the new men i trust song billie toppy and got to see them again on tour after last year :3 also got my first merch from them which i love
Oh also listen to the bones and all sountrack i swear it will change ur life (the movie and trent reznor)
Also i love jonna jinton (and her jewelry ) but this song esp is ahmazing its only available on utube so listen here :3
The hellp was also on repeat this summer and autumn love their noises and visuals
The new 1975 album was also really good, my favorite songs were human too, wintering, about u, wen we are together, oh caroline
I also loved this live set from them its ahmazing please watch if u want to cry
This club eat song (and i'm sorry only this one) was on repeat this year
Oh and lastly vtss sets r undefeated this year if u need something to listen to for long train rides or studio time here is my favorite
